Healthcare

Sarawak is advancing its public healthcare system by implementing a digitalisation initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services. This transformative effort will enable public health clinics to provide better patient care and streamline medical processes, ultimately improving health outcomes for the community.

Digital Transformation of Healthcare in Sarawak

The healthcare industry in Sarawak is undergoing a significant digital transformation, focusing on the digitalisation of public health clinics. More than half of the 271 clinics will be modernised, reflecting a commitment to leveraging technology for improved healthcare delivery. The state government has allocated RM10 million to digitalise 150 clinics, benefiting about 73% of patients accessing primary healthcare. Transitioning to a cloud-based system will allow clinics to share patient medical records seamlessly, enhancing care quality and data management.
